As you may or may not be aware me and my co-director both suffer with Dyslexia and we where adviced to speak to local organisations and work in partnership and over the past five years these organisations have stolen parts of our project and made vast amounts of money from it and one of the organisations was given money by DWP/DCC who gave them over £80Million last year alone and this year two of these organisation who have stolen our project have been awarded a further £7.5Million each for the next 12 Months.

We are very, very upset by all of this as our not-for-profit organisation has been ripped off and we have become victims of intellectual property theft and we have not got the funds to find a good lawyer to take these organisations to court we ask what help you can give us with this problem?

As our Project is worth a massive £250Billion to the UK Market under the Producer Responsibility Legislation, further income streams will be gained through our retail side of our not-for-profit project in Exeter and Devon the project will grow to become a county wide scheme with your full support.

We have been pushed around from pillar to post by various governmental agencies and organisations only to be ripped of and treated very, very badly indeed by local Jobcentres and SWRDA, public officials, Business Link, I have attached my portfolio for you to read through so that you may understand what I have been through and my frustrations with UK corruption in the UK.

Where possible, damaged items are salvaged for parts ones that have passed the A1 quality checks are then separated based on the make, model and condition they are in, for appropriate refurbishment. Once sorted and segregated they are then packaged ready for re-manufacturing and processing to the ISO 9001/14001 standard in the UK.

UK social enterprise sector is fighting back

The UK social enterprise sector is outstripping mainstream enterprise and turning deprivation into business success, reveals a major new report launched this week.

Fightback Britain says one in seven of all social enterprises is a start-up, more than three times the proportion of start-ups in mainstream small business.

Echoing findings in this year’s RBS SE100 Data Report, it says that social enterprises are twice as likely as mainstream businesses to have reported growth in the last year.

And they are more likely to be led by women, young people and people from minority ethnic groups.

Three times as many social enterprises as mainstream small businesses are operating in Britain’s most deprived communities.

The report adds that some of the biggest social enterprises operating in the UK today began life in the recession of the 1980s.

The report supported by the Co-operative Bank also marks the launch of Social Enterprise UK – the rebranded Social Enterprise Coalition.

Business Secretary Vince Cable said: ‘It is hugely encouraging to see so many social enterprises starting and expanding, and creating jobs in local communities.’

Paul Martin, Head of Charity & Social Enterprise at The Co-operative Bank, said the findings recognised ‘a very real shift in consumer thinking and behaviour’.

He said: ‘People want businesses to have a positive influence on society, which is why social enterprise has shown stronger financial growth compared with the general market.’

Social Enterprise UK CEO Peter Holbrook said: ‘The findings show that it is social enterprises, not private sector businesses that are starting up in Britain’s deprived communities, boosting local economies and creating jobs whilst remedying the country’s social and environmental problems.

‘Some of the biggest social enterprises operating in the UK today are those that started in the recession of the 80s. We’re seeing a new generation of social enterprises being created during these incredibly difficult economic times and in the communities where they’re desperately needed. And the research shows that the general public are buying from social enterprises, which is an important indicator that social enterprise is really starting to take hold. Very soon social enterprise could change the face of British business.’

Later in the year Social Enterprise UK will lead on a national campaign to raise awareness of social enterprise focused on the general public, private sector businesses and public sector service commissioners. For more information go to A1 Positive

I’m ashamed of England Why because I have been to these meetings and it has already been decided exactly how the taxpayers money is going to be spent beforehand.

This is not the way forward as the public need to vote on how we want our money spent for instance Exeter City Council collects £65Million Pounds in Council Tax and Business Rates each month. Fact.

The People of Exeter is never asked how we want our taxes invested instead £12Million is kept to fund the very High salaries of City Council staff. Chief Executive gets £165,000 Per year, Deputy Executive Gets £86,500 Per year. Fact

The rest of the £53Million Pounds each month goes to the treasury to pay the big fat cats in parliament to claim very, very high salaries to live it up for doing nothing is that what the British Public actually wants?

The same old story they steal our money then give nothing back in return they give it in one hand and take it from the next corruption at it’s best Money for Nothing & they get cheques for free.

This Big society is just another means to justify MP’s and Politicians to try and justify the very high salaries they get paid for doing nothing a huge UK scam to the UK British Public who was not even asked or offered to do a public vote on how our money is spent the Big society is just part of another Government programme that has failed before it began as without the British Public’s Support it will never work this is just another Scandal that shows a grave disrespect to the Great British Public in the UK. Why the UK have been loosing Billions of Pounds in funding due to lazy politicians and Councils

Britain is at “the bottom of the heap” in recycling its rubbish, according to a study of the green credentials of European Union countries.

Of the EU’s 25 member states, only Greece and Portugal recycle a smaller proportion of their waste than Britain. The report by the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) and Green Alliance, which revealed the EU league table, called on local authorities to be given powers to charge a “pay-as-you-throw” fee for collecting non-recyclable rubbish.

Their survey found that only 18 per cent of municipal waste is recycled in Britain, compared to 28 per cent in France, 58 per cent in Germany and 65 per cent in the Netherlands, which tops the EU league.

Nick Pearce, director of the IPPR think tank, said: “The UK is bottom of the heap in Europe when it comes to recycling. Our European neighbours have shown that where charges are commonplace, recycling rates will rise. But to make sure any charging scheme for rubbish collection is fair, it needs be accompanied by a reduction in council tax and an improvement in recycling facilities the UK should have reached 75% recycling targets by 2008″

Julie Hill, of the Green Alliance pressure group, said: “There are few better routes to higher recycling than through giving householders financial incentives. They are a proven, positive and logical way of changing our throwaway society.”

The report says some parts of Germany, where local bodies charge around 18 pence per kilo for waste not recycled, have boosted the proportion of recyclable materials to more than 65 per cent. Despite the British Government’s attempts to persuade people to recycle more of their rubbish, it is only now on course to meet its target set in 2000 for 25 per cent of waste to be recycled.

Recycling rates vary sharply throughout Britain, said the report. The councils recycling the highest proportion of waste in England are St Edmundsbury, Forest Heath, South Cambridgeshire, Lichfield and Harborough. Those with the lowest share are Newham, Tower Hamlets, Liverpool, High Peak and Wirral.

It emerged yesterday that some authorities are already using hidden electronic bin tags that could help monitor how much people throw away. Councils confirmed that hundreds of thousands of identification chips have been put in wheelie bins.

The devices, about the size of a penny, are placed in the lip of the bin and can be scanned as it is tipped into a dustcart, some of which contain weighing equipment which can link this information to the amount of rubbish collected from each owner.

But privacy campaigners have expressed concern. Simon Davies, the founder of Privacy International, said the tags were the “thin end of the wedge” and would inevitably be used to boost revenue. The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs said local authorities had not been told to use the tags but confirmed that the Government is looking at a “range of options” to help the UK meet tough European landfill reduction targets. The department has paid £5m to councils to fund 40 pilot schemes, that included waste monitoring.

The Local Government Association (LGA) has urged the Government to give councils the power to introduce variable waste charging. Paul Bettison, who chairs the LGA’s environment board, said people who do not recycle should be made to pay more as they receive an extra service.

He said: “We tried to persuade people that it is good to recycle. Now we are seeing that not everybody was persuaded and now we have got to really encourage them.” Mr Bettison said collecting general information about the amount of waste created by a community was not a “state or personal secret”. http://www.foe.co.uk/resource/press_releases/government_still_failing_o.html

THE UK’s biggest criminal probe into electrical waste exports means business owners must examine how they dispose of old electrical’s warns a recycling expert.

This month nine individuals were charged with illegally exporting electrical goods for disposal overseas, following a two-year investigation by The Environment Agency.

This recent clampdown suggests many more fines could follow, according to Neil Wintrip co-founder of A1 Positive Recycling Project limited, a regulated electronics recycling non-profit business.

A1 Positive Recycling Project Limited works with councils and businesses across the UK to help them comply with Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive. He says:
“Businesses exporting waste illegally need to be made an example of.
The message is getting clearer – and authorities are getting tougher. Organisations need to be aware they have a legal responsibility to dispose of electrical waste responsibly.
Those that don’t have a high risk of being caught out, it’s just a matter of time.”

If broken electrical and hazardous waste ends up in the wrong hands, the consequences are serious, particularly for those working on waste sites in developing countries. Wintrip continues:
“Businesses may not realise they’re doing anything wrong, but this will be no excuse.
They must audit the businesses they use to recycle their old electronics.

“All local authorities are required to make sure electrical and electronic goods are stored securely and only sent to authorised facilities.
When appointing a business to collect your electrical waste, always ask to see evidence the recycling firm is reputable and authorised for recycling and disposal.

Mr Wintrip says organisations need to consider security too:
“Organisations need to consider their data protection policies. They need to make sure their recycling firm issues evidence they are erasing data with software that eradicates sensitive information.
Always check your recycler’s International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) accreditation and waste management licenses.”

The electrical market in the UK is estimated to be worth £23 billion per year.
