A social enterprise in Exeter is looking for practical support to establish an alternative technology eduction centre for the South West.
A1 Positive Recycling Project, which is a non-profit enterprise, that wants to build up a positive management team to help lead the future development of the project.
It is also hoping to find space in a vacant city centre property as a base for the project.
Neil Wintrip is the CEO and director for A1 which he started as an IT technician upgrading and repairing computers and environmental cleaning services, A1 is now specialising in local data destruction, computer and mobile phone recycling, ink and toner cartridge sales and recycling.
In May 2005 Neil was awarded an Un Ltd level 1 Millennium award and a Co-op Community Dividend award.
Neil said the planned alternative technology education centre would be aimed at training, educating and empowering adults with learning difficulties.
He said he was looking for dynamic and committed positive experienced individuals who can offer practical-hands-on-support and sound business community advice to help run a pilot project and to become part of the board members on the A1 management team in Exeter.
